he misses her - 2007
solo for male dancer and cellist
Presented at the faculty concert for CAMMAC's OMC Summer Program 2007, Elinor Frey and Gabreïl Spiegelschrift collaborate in this sentimental solo about Gabreïl's elderly grandfather coping with the loss of his grandmother. Continuing where the comedic duet ‘Tangó na dTuaitíní Uimhre 4’ (2005) left off, Gabreïl dances the character of his grandfather, transforming from youthful, desperate memories of the Second World War, to relevant imagery of an abandoned geriatric, lit by the light of a television screen. Elinor provides the tragically beautiful narrative set to Christopher Rouse's Ricordanza.
A dancefilm adaptation is in the works.

- An Irish-themed commedia dell’arte-esque Love Duet about a bickering married couple who’s love for each other is often eclipsed by their love for themselves individually. The humourous environment and the physical choreography are a flashy facade diverting focus from the dark under current conflicts of Old World ideals and traditions against New World progress and necessity.05
